Season's come and go but good eating is here to stay.  Do you know your growing seasons?  Local farmers work hard to produce fine quality produce for our island families.     Different seasons and buying local bring fresh and healthy choices and benefits all of us.  November is here and the cool winter months are perfect for growing leafy greens.  Pak Choy, Kai Choy, Shanghai Pak Choy, Won Bok,  Broccoli, Chinese Parsley, American Parsley, Green onions and cabbage are just in time for the holiday season.  Try layering Pak Choy, instead of Romaine in salads.  Braised Choys and broccoli with tofu make great salads too.  Add them to soups or to jazz up saimin.  Stir Fry with Kalua Pig or stuff leaves with pork hash and steam. Look for these items at your local grocers and restaurants.
