The CORN MAZE at Aloun Farms for Spring 2009 will take place in April. It will be a spectacular month of fun filled activities for all ages. The weekdays will be reserved for scheduled schools and group field trips. This is an eductional event for school children throughout Hawaii.   We invite our island keiki to learn about Hawaii Agriculture, sustainability and area history.

 

The maze will be surrounded with fields of crops such as Watermelon, Honeydew, Cantaloupe, Korean Melon, Sweet Corn, Zucchini, Ewa Sweet Onions and Peppers. Children will experience a day on the farm and will be able to dig for potatoes and pick selected produce to take home. Students will be educated about the various crops and experience the activities of a true farm. Climb onto the Farm’s Hay-ride and witness the daily harvest or see our giant tractor in tilling action.

 

The objective is to educate the children, build their awareness of how fruits and vegetables are grown in the islands with an emphasis on sustainability.

Students will be educated about the various crops, able to see the fields, and gain hands on farm experience. The fields are planted throughout our farm and with the assistance of a tractor-pulled hayride, you will be able to get a view of our diversified products .The objective is to educate and share island farming and agriculture with the children through hands on experiences.
